Striped Mullet (Mullus surmuletus) Salmonete Meerbarbe
Frequently found on sandy bottoms and patches, it uses it's distinctive white barbels to dig in the sand to dislodge small invertebrates. It spends much of it's time on the bottom as it lacks a swim bladder, so it is has no natural bouyancy control!
